Between the rich stock and salty ham, which kind of self-seasons the dish. I used the Garlicfor this recipe, but any of the Better Than Bouillon will work. Add chicken stock, canned beans, and cubed ham steak, then simmer for just 20 minutes. I boil my water and then mix in the Better Than Bouillon paste so it can begin to dissolve. Set in your ham bone and start to pour in your broth. Add the meat back and add the can of beans. When cooking time is up, ladle out the meat from the broth. ![]() Cook on low for at least 8 10 hours or more. Spray your crockpot with a nonstick spray. Put all ingredients into the slow cooker with the exception of the beans. Now, I did this after our Christmas dinner, and the kids loved this soup! I loved how easy it was just to drop it in the crockpot and let it cook!
